WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR GIFT PRODUCTS? Proudly, we source products from mostly small, family businesses from around the world.

WHAT ABOUT YOUR MEAT? What set's us apart is not only our price, but our suppliers. They are not typical grocery store suppliers, but rather restaurant, hotel and golf courses.  What that means is that the food is exceptional quality as some of your highest end restaurants serve the same food.  Most of our suppliers have been in business for more than 50+ years.  Click on each food item to learn more.

WHY IS JELLYCAT AVAILABLE IN RED DEER ONLY? Due to the incredible popularity and worldwide shortage of the Jellycat brand they are not opening any new accounts for the foreseeable future while they continue to service existing accounts.  We are happy to ship anywhere in Canada. We are as disappointed as you are and look forward to when they remove the new account freeze. 

IS EVERYTHING FROM YOUR STORE SHOWN ONLINE?  No. Approx. 5% of our stores products are online. Due to size of products, and continued new items, not everything is shown online.   

WHY IS SHIPPING OF $17.99 SO HIGH ON EVEN A SMALL ORDER?  Sadly, shipping in Canada is very expensive. The minimum, regardless if you spend $2.00, with tracking is over $16.50.  Some companies built that into the cost of their products (we don't). So you can order items with family & friends to split the cost OR receive FREE shipping on orders of $100 or more*

I WANT A PRODUCT BUT IT SAYS "PICK UP ONLY"? Oversized items, as well as all cases of meat' are PICK UP ONLY.  If you want us to quote on oversized or out of service areas we are happy to get you pricing for a shipping option. 

I LIVE IN NT, DO YOU SHIP THERE?  We do, however keep in mind that there are some placed in Canada that are considered out of area for our $17.99 and/or free shipping option.  In those cases, while you may be able to check out, we will be in touch to provide you with the actual shipping charge that we do not include due to the higher fees from our carriers. 

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS HANDMADE? Many of our products are handmade, by real people, just like you. Fudge from Moose Jaw. Outdoor Metal Flowers & Cactus' from Mexico. Shower Steamers from USA. Leather Patch Hats from Saskatoon. Hot Chocolate from Quebec. Coffee Mugs and Hoodies printed instore at Muddy Moose. And even Oilers earrings made with love in Blackfalds, Alberta. 

I DON'T CARE FOR YOUR CHEEKY PRODUCTS IN STORE?  Our intention is never to offend but our popular sassy products make up less than 3% of our products. We believe, just like in life when you leave our store, you can choose to focus on what you love, or focus on what you don't.  We not only concentrate on having a wide variety that will appeal to everyone (our cheeky items are loved by young adults to grandma's + grandpa's well into their 80's) but we believe that life is already serious enough.  The loud, boisterous laughs all day long from different corners of our store fill our heart.  And you can be an amazing, kind, great person while still enjoying some of the sassy products that at the end of the day are all in good fun. 

DO YOU ACCEPT REFUNDS?  We are happy to exchange or give store credit for any new, unused product (no cash refunds) with exception of handmade soap or meat products due to health reasons.  

NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGE MEAT POLICY  At Muddy Moose Market we are proud to believe in the quality of every meat product we sell. Our family has personally eaten and served this same meat for over 25 years, and we purchase exclusively through trusted restaurant-grade suppliers who operate under strict quality control and federally regulated safety standards.

However, food is subjective, and there are many variables that can affect your personal experience, including individual taste preferences and opinions, cooking methods and equiptment, desired doneness and seasoning and handling after purchase (eg: thawing, leaving in vehicle,  or refreezing which may cause ice crystals to form), etc.

Because of these and other factors outside of our control, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any meat products once they have left our store. If you are hesitant about a cut or flavor profile we strongly recommend starting with our Chef Pack or Sampler pack before committing to a full case. These curated boxes allow you to taste and test without the full case investment. 

Exception – Product Quality Concern

In the unlikely case where you believe there is a genuine product defect (not related to taste, texture, cooking, or handling), we will investigate it with our supplier.

Procedure for Quality Review:  email us at jodee@muddymoosemarket.ca which includes the product label on the box (showing supplier lot code and product details) as well as a picture of the product. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response from our supplier. PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THE STORE FOR A REFUND OR EXCHANGE.  Once the supplier completes their investigation we will follow up with their findings with a friendly reminder it is for product defects and national recalls only. This is the only exception to our no-refund/no-exchange policy, and it is is handled strictly through supplier review- not personal taste preference or cooking outcome. 

WHY THIS POLICY? Meat is a perishable products and cannot be safely returned or resold once it leaves our controlled environment. There are too many handling and preparation variable outside out control, including personal taste opinions. Maintaining supplier-verified standards ensures fairness, consistency, and food safety for ALL of our customers.  

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?  We have 2 locations, one in Red Deer, and the other in Edmonton, Alberta.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN OPEN? We celebrated our 3 year anniversary in Red Deer on November 1st, and Edmonton opened September 1st, 2025.

CAN YOU CARRY MY PRODUCTS IN YOUR STORE?  We wish we could buy from everyone and we are always on the lookout for the newest treasures. We ask that all potential new vendors please email product info including pictures + wholesale pricing to jodee@muddymoosemarket.ca for review.  *Please do not drop off samples to the store.
